Lip Tar to the Test

Hey Guys!

So far so good at keeping my promise! I think that's an achievement!

I wanted to test out lip tar for a while and eventually I remembered to do it so I wanted to share my thoughts on it with you.

Being a fully committed matte girl though it was hard to find a lipstick that wasn't so I could see if it really keeps it in place, it took a while but I found one and even more of a shock it was RED!!

That's right Miss Nude Lips went red! Usually with my eyes being pretty much black they stand out on they're own so it was a shock to seem my eyes and lips looking so out there! But I committed to it!

The lip tar I tested was by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics and the lipstick I tried it with was MAC in Chateau M.

I applied the lip tar first to my lips and let it soak in whilst I finished the rest of my makeup once I got to applying my lipstick the first thing I noticed was no bleeding. I don't know if it's just me but I find red lipsticks to bleed SO much! By the time you leave the house you look like you have tried to over draw your lips! But it didn't bleed so, so far I was impressed!

The colour was so dark compared to my usual colours I wont lie I kept catching my reflection and took me a minuet to realise I was looking at myself!

So the test was to go all day without reapplying my lipstick and see how well it stayed in place and if the colour would fade. After a few shameless seflie's headed off to work! Oh and I defiantly wore my beret because the girl on the packaging was!

I went to work, ate and just tried to go with my normal day and truthfully still no bleeding but eating I still ended up getting it on my chin (probably because I have an over sized chin) obviously I cleaned that up BUT I did not reapply! Only thing I couldn't test was if it was kiss proof but I'll update you on that on Valentine's Day! Haha!

Anyway by the time it got to taking my makeup off (yes my pajarma's are koala bears, deal with it they're the best!) I found that the colour had faded a bit and was looking more pink than red which was a bit of a disappointment so to be honest I wouldn't bother buying the lip tar and I'll probably stick to my matte lipsticks, although by the end I did start to like red lipstick so maybe every now and again I'll be bold! Also, yes I know the pictures have different lighting, its night time, I'm sorry I can't help that, clearly good lighting is the key to selfies both are taken in the same spot!

LIP TAR DID NOT CONVERT ME!

Back to matte for me.
